TERMS AGREED: Arsenal has surpassed Manchester City in their pursuit of a £70 million Premier League superstar; final documentation is due tonight, pending a

medical examination. It appears that Arsenal are prepared to do the same in the upcoming summer transfer window, as they spent an initial £100 million on Declan Rice and £65 million on Kai Havertz. The Gunners have reportedly been made aware of a release clause in Michael Olise’s recently-signed contract at Crystal Palace, which exceeds £50 million, per talkSPORT.

Chelsea nearly acquired the 22-year-old attacker in the summer after they exercised the £35 million release clause in his prior contract with Crystal Palace.

Since the upcoming summer, Olise is garnering an increasing number of suitors, and the Gunners are eager to acquire his services.

The Frenchman matches the description of an attacker that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta desires to bolster in order to provide much-needed competition to players such as Gabriel Martinelli.

In just nine Premier League appearances this season, the Palace star has contributed to five goals and one assist, and he will be eager to prove himself when the Eagles travel to Emirates Stadium later on Saturday to face the Gunners.During their March 2023 meeting, Olise captured the attention of Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City. Unsurprisingly, Arteta is interested in signing the winger.

“They are armed.” “[Wilfried] Zaha, [Michael] Olise, and [Eberechi] Eze are present; they are phenomenal strikers who pose an enormous threat,” Guardiola said at the time of referring to the three Palace players.

“They are tremendous attacking players with composure.”

Although capable of filling in at any forward position, the former Reading star is also a competent defender, a quality Arteta highly values.

Olise is an all-around attacker who is capable of delivering impeccable crosses and set-pieces, which renders him an enormous danger in terms of direct free-kicks.In addition to being an exceptional dribbler and adroit ball holder who makes it nearly impossible to dispose of the ball, Arsenal will be acquiring a premier player by acquiring him.
