This evening, following their FA Cup training camp in Abu Dhabi, the Citizens returned to action on the road against Spurs in a difficult matchup.Guardiola was captured in a recent Twitter post shared by the official FA Cup account engaging in a highly impassioned exchange with Ruben Dias, wherein it appeared as though he were instructing the defender on how to proceed in specific game situations. It took Guardiola’s squad until the 88th minute, when Nathan Ake scored the game’s opening goal, to break the deadlock.

Following the goal that solidified City’s progression to the subsequent round of the FA Cup, the 53-year-old was observed engaging in an action that garnered considerable interest on the field.

Observed Guardiola yelling at Dias following Tottenham’s victory. The 53-year-old has previously been observed engaging in an on-field conversation with one of his players during halftime of City’s first Premier League match of the season against Burnley in August. This is not the first time he has done so.

This demonstrates that the Spaniard has no qualms about communicating his thoughts to his players, irrespective of his location or the position of the game.

The Portuguese international demonstrated his defensive prowess throughout the most recent match by recording five clearances, four tackles, and one interception.Additionally, he defeated six of the eleven duels in which he participated and completed the entire game without being dribbled past. The center-back’s performance earned him a 7.4/10 aggregate match rating from SofaScore, which ranked him joint-third among City players for the evening.

Given the aforementioned, it is difficult to conceive of anything else Guardiola might have been anxious to say to Dias besides congratulations on his outstanding performance.
