Erling Haaland rejoins Manchester City’s training camp in Abu Dhabi following a six-week absence; Jeremy Doku and John Stones

also advance, providing Pep Guardiola with a welcome reinforcement.Erling Haaland is the most recent Manchester City star to resume training as the reigniting Premier League champions resume their quest for a record-setting fourth consecutive championship the following week. The Norwegian is sidelined for six weeks due to a foot injury sustained in last month’s loss at Aston Villa; however, he continues to share the division-leading goalscoring position with Mohamed Salah.

City had not anticipated that the recovery time from a bone stress injury would be so lengthy, and Haaland experienced a setback two weeks ago.

Prior to the midseason break, the club’s medical staff advised the 23-year-old to forego additional training in preparation for their dramatic 3-2 victory at Newcastle United.

However, their spirits were lifted on Monday when Haaland participated in a training session with Pep Guardiola’s squad at their warm-weather camp in Abu Dhabi. This followed John Stones’ re-entry for light work on Sunday.Additionally, City winger Jeremy Doku has been attending sessions throughout the program; he is scheduled to return home on Tuesday.

Guardiola seems closer to being able to select his first-team XI, given that Kevin De Bruyne is in fine form at St James’ Park and two of City’s most prominent players have resumed training.

All season, City has been unable to deploy De Bruyne, Haaland, and Stones as a unit, despite the fact that they are three of the most vital contributors to their Treble success. They will play Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup on Friday, followed by a resumption to league action against Burnley the following Wednesday.
