Under the supervision of City physio Mario Pafundi, who joined the club in 2016 alongside Pep Guardiola, Haaland has been undergoing rehabilitation.

Having assisted Pafundi in regaining his fitness regimen, Haaland took to Instagram to greet him a joyous birthday. The City forward posted a photo of the ecstatic Italian to his Instagram story with the following caption: “Happy birthday to the greatest fysio in the world!”

A number of the 23-year-old’s 38.1 million followers promptly identified an error in orthography within his message, which was to be expected.

Although his fitness did not permit him to be risked for Friday night’s 1-0 FA Cup victory over Tottenham, the Norwegian appeared upbeat on social media and a return to action seemed imminent. The City maskman, who posted a selfie of himself with a stern expression, remarked, “Oh, we live in a perfect world where everyone is perfect.”Apologies, I intended to say “physiotherapy.”

Haaland is one of the most prolific strikers in international football, having contributed to City’s treble in the Champions League, FA Cup, and Premier League with 52 goals across all competitions last season. This collection comprised an unprecedented 36 Premier League goals.

Haaland, who has already scored 19 goals this season, will be eager to add to that total. Pep Guardiola’s team, who only recently welcomed back Kevin De Bruyne from injury, will also be on high alert in the Premier League.
