In what is sure to be one of the most exciting games of the Wild Card weekend, the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers will square off against each other. Since the middle of the 1990s, the Cowboys have not been able to make it to the NFC Championship game. They are hoping to come in and demonstrate that they are capable of being a threat in the playoffs.

At the same time that the Packers want to demonstrate on national television that Jordan Love is their third franchise quarterback in a succession, they also want to demonstrate that they still have their own Super Bowl hopes. The Cowboys are currently struggling with an injury to their quarterback, as an announcement was made today.

As stated by Charean Williams, who is a contributor to Pro Football Talk:

Dallas Cowboys

In preparation for their wild-card playoff game against the Packers on Sunday, the Cowboys are in the best possible state of health it is possible for them to be in.

A designation is only carried by one player at a time.

Cooper Rush, the team’s backup quarterback, was included in the practice report that was released on Friday. The organization listed him as questionable due to an illness. He did not engage in any form of practice.

At this point in the season, Rush has participated in 69 mop-up duty snaps.

The cornerback position Over the course of two consecutive days, Stephon Gilmore (shoulder) participated in a limited practice. In order to protect his dislocated shoulder, it is asked of him to play while wearing a harness.

Tyler Smith, a left guard, will make his return after missing Week 18 due to a foot injury. On Friday, he had a full practice schedule.

Aside from safety Malik Hooker, defensive end Dorance Armstrong, defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, and defensive end Dorance Armstrong all have ankle injuries but are healthy enough to play.

Unless Dak Prescott has an injury, it is obvious that the injury sustained by the backup quarterback will not have any effect on the game itself. On the other hand, if Prescott is forced to miss any time during the game, that will be an interesting situation to watch.

Rush’s condition is currently unknown, although it is currently uncertain whether or not he will be able to participate in the wild-card round. In the event that Rush does not show up for Sunday’s game, Trey Lance is likely to stand in for Dak Prescott.
