Report: Chelsea could now move to sign ‘outstanding’ Premier League player before the window shuts.

Chelsea could reportedly acquire a “outstanding” Premier League player before the transfer window closes.According to reports, Chelsea may attempt to acquire Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran at the eleventh hour. Duran has been linked with the Blues all month.

This season, the 20-year-old attacker has flourished under the guidance of Unai Emery. Duran is considered the ideal backup for Ollie Watkins, who has led the line masterfully for Villa. The Colombian international is still being linked with a move away from Villa Park, as Chelsea, AC Milan, and West Ham are reportedly all interested in signing him.

And the Telegraph reports that the Blues may now attempt to acquire Duran at the eleventh hour, as Mauricio Pochettino’s squad struggles to acquire a new center forward.Due to the exorbitant costs associated with Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney in January, Chelsea has shifted its focus to the Premier League in an attempt to acquire Duran, who is a target for the west London club.

The former Chicago Fire star, described as “outstanding” by Clinton Morrison, would be an unexpected acquisition by Chelsea, and Duran may even prefer to finish the season at Villa.

Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran might decline Chelsea’s offer to sign him.Given Villa’s meteoric rise in the Premier League and Chelsea’s improbable qualification for Europe barring a miracle in the League Cup final against Liverpool, Duran is confronted with a monumental decision this month.

Although the Blues could potentially entice the South American forward to relocate to west London with a substantial financial offer, it is uncertain how well Duran will adjust to life at Chelsea should he decide to join the club.

However, considering Chelsea’s dreadful track record with forwards, it is reasonable to infer that the attacker Duran will not have much of a role to play there, something he already has at Villa.

In fact, it appears that Duran’s best option is to remain at Villa Park, and Villa supporters will be hopeful that the Colombian forward realizes this this month in the event that Chelsea make an offer to acquire him.
