Chelsea may now attempt a trade with a Premier League rival after inquiring about a player earning £50,000 per week.A last-minute transfer agreement between Chelsea and one of their Premier League rivals is a possibility.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea and Fulham have been discussing the possibility of a transfer for Trevoh Chalobah, and the Blues have inquired about Antonee Robinson in the process.Presently, the aforementioned publication asserts that a transfer involving both players is conceivable prior to the transfer window closing the following week.

Additionally, journalist Simon Phillips has stated that Robinson’s return to Stamford Bridge cannot be ruled out.

At present, the weekly salary of the left-back at Craven Cottage is £50,000 (Spotrac).

Trevoh Chalobah might be exchanged for Antonee Robinson by Chelsea.

The substitution of Chalobah for Robinson by Chelsea is highly logical. The Blues appear to be in favorable circumstances, at least on paper, with regard to the center-back position.

Presently, Mauricio Pochettino’s squad comprises Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, and Levi Colwill. Although he has endured a number of injury concerns in that regard this season, the Argentine can likely afford to release one or two players.Despite this, Chelsea are considerably more formidable in that position than at left back. Colwill has been in action at that location, whereas Ben Chilwell has only recently returned from an injury.

However, Marc Cucurella continues to be sidelined, whereas Ian Maatsen was recently granted permission to join Borussia Dortmund on loan. Trading Chalobah for Robinson may therefore be a viable option.

If not, Chelsea will likely be unable to acquire a new left-back until the summer transfer window.

If that is the case, Pochettino can presumably make do with the resources at his disposal. And should he succeed, and Chilwell maintains his fitness and regains his peak performance, Chelsea may not even be required to acquire a new player in the summer transfer market. Definitely, it is something to remain vigilant about.
