The New Orleans Saints took Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough with the 40th overall choice in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Tyler Shough, a 6-foot-4 senior from Chandler, Arizona, finished his college career at Oregon, Texas Tech, and Louisville. Shough, a former four-star prospect, received Honorable Mention All-ACC recognition in 2024 and was named one of three national Comeback Players of the Year after leading Louisville to an 8-4 record as a starter. In 2024, he passed for 3,195 yards and 23 touchdowns, both career highs. Shough performed a 4.63-second 40-yard sprint and displayed a 32-inch vertical at the 2025 NFL Combine.
