Midfielder Lewis Koumas is back at Liverpool following the club’s decision to recall him from his season-long loan at Championship side Birmingham City.

The 20-year-old featured 25 times for the Blues, making seven league starts, and found the net once during his spell — scoring in a memorable 3-2 victory over league leaders Coventry City.
Koumas had signed a new contract with Liverpool prior to heading out on loan and also spent the previous campaign in the Championship with Stoke City, where he scored three goals across 43 league appearances.
The Wales international has made one senior outing for the Reds to date, marking the occasion with a goal in an FA Cup clash against Southampton during the 2023-24 season.
