Hannibal Mejbri, a young player for Manchester United, has reportedly responded “yes” to a proposition from Sevilla as he is rapidly approaching a loan move, according to sources who spoke to sportupdate.

It is anticipated that the twenty-year-old will join the Spanish club on loan for the first time, with the intention of deciding whether or not to sign him permanently in the summer.

Mejbri has been given permission to quit Manchester United this month since he has been unable to make an impact on Erik ten Hag’s ambitions at Old Trafford. Mejbri’s departure from the club is approved.

Over the course of a January loan contract, the Tunisian midfielder has garnered interest from Everton and other teams; nonetheless, Sevilla is poised to emerge victorious in the competition for his services.

The conditions have been agreed upon, and it is possible that a deal will be finalized by the end of the weekend.

Mejbri was also the subject of a loan offer from Everton, according to sportupdate, which was published on Wednesday (10 January). However, Sevilla is currently in the best position to finalize a transaction.

During the current season, Mejbri has participated in 11 matches for the Red Devils, but he has only started four of those matches across all forms of competition.

His solitary goal of the season occurred in September, when United was defeated by Brighton at Old Trafford by a score of 3-1 during the match.

After spending the previous season on loan at Birmingham City, a team in the Championship, Mejbri established himself as a crucial player under the direction of former manager John Eustace.

Although the United loanee made 41 appearances for the Blues and scored once, his one goal for the club, which was scored against West Brom, ended up earning the club’s Goal of the Season title for the 2022-23 season.

Mejbri’s departure may alleviate some of the issues that United is experiencing with regard to Financial Fair Play, as the sale of the academy will result in a pure profit for the club’s books.
