Marcus Rashford will undertake a scan on his hamstring injury in the coming days, as he is in a race against time to return to game action for Aston Villa before the season concludes.
The 27-year-old is not anticipated to require surgery for the injury. A diagnostic scheduled for later this week will evaluate the hamstring’s healing process and provide additional information regarding whether the on-loan Manchester United forward will be able to return to the field this season.
Rashford was unable to participate in Villa’s FA Cup semi-final loss to Crystal Palace at Wembley on Saturday and has been excluded from their Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Fulham. Unai Emery’s team is currently striving to regain their position in the top-five and qualify for the Champions League.
