Derek Carr has officially retired. The New Orleans Saints placed Carr on the NFL’s reserve/retired list on Tuesday, officially ending his career after he revealed last month that he was retiring due to a shoulder ailment. New Orleans waited until June to add the 34-year-old on the roster, in part because to salary-cap implications.

Why aren’t the Saints signing a seasoned quarterback? Their coaching staff may be the solution.

Kellen Moore, the New Orleans Saints’ coach, hasn’t fully ruled out acquiring an experienced quarterback to aid a relatively youthful group that has Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener battling for the starting job. However, based on his statements and the team’s actions, such a move does not appear likely to occur anytime soon.

Around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, four busses rolled up and halted, swallowing the street corner next to Trinity Community Centre. As the New Orleans Saints players and personnel walked off and quickly began to form assigned groups, numerous nearby people began capturing photos with their cell phones.

QB Derek Carr was placed on the reserve/retired list, according to the league transaction wire. On May 10, New Orleans officially announced Carr’s retirement.

Jim Marshall, a Vikings legend and member of the Purple People Eaters, died at the age of 87.

Perhaps Jim Marshall’s most memorable play was one in which he ran the wrong direction. Marshall, on the other hand, did things correctly for the majority of his 20-year NFL career.
