Today marked the end of the dead period, enabling teams to tour the campus with athletes. With the addition of another top prospect on Wednesday, the Crimson Tide lost no time in putting together an impressive guest list for the forthcoming weekend.
Steve Wiltfong of On3 announced on Wednesday that Kenny Darby, the four-star wide receiver commit from LSU, will be in Tuscaloosa on Friday, May 30, for an official visit. Darby will be joining numerous other top players in the 2026 class who will also be on visits that weekend.
The wide receiver appeared to be a certainty for Brian Kelly and the Tigers when Darby committed to them in November 2024. Nevertheless, it appears that DeBoer and the Tide have gained some momentum with his planned official visit to Alabama this weekend, as the Tide are now Darby’s formal visit planned for this summer.
The talented prospect from the boot state has been actively pursued by the Crimson Tide’s wide receiver coach, JaMarcus Shephard, who has made multiple in-home visits to Darby this spring. It looks like Shephard’s efforts are paying off, as the No. 21 wide receiver in the 2026 class returned the favor this weekend.
This weekend, Alabama will welcome two powerful wide receivers to campus: four-star Boobie Feaster, who On3 ranks as the No. 5 receiver in the 2026 class, is anticipated to join Darby.
According to On3, Alabama’s recruiting class, which is presently ranked fourth in the SEC and tenth in the country, would greatly benefit from this acquisition.
