The Georgia Bulldogs have received a commitment from the nation’s top punter in the 2026 recruiting class.

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have acquired a key special teams weapon for the future, as Wade Register, the country’s top punter, has formally committed to Georgia Football for the class of 2026.
Register, a notable specialist, earned headlines last season for his strong leg and accurate accuracy. On kickoffs, he had 37 touchbacks in 50 tries, constantly changing the field and minimizing return opportunities. He was nearly perfect on extra points, going 31-for-32 on PATs, demonstrating his dependability in pressure circumstances.

But it’s as a punter that Register truly stands out. In 2024, he averaged 47.9 yards per punt, with a 69-yard long kick that demonstrated both leg strength and field control. His hang time, directional punting, and ability to pin opponents deep are already collegiate caliber.

Wade Register’s adaptability, more than his top kicking skill, piques the Bulldogs’ interest. Register also plays running back for his high school squad, which adds a dynamic element to his athletic profile.
