The first two home football games for the Gamecocks will be illuminated.

Columbia, South Carolina The Southeastern Conference announced today that Williams-Brice Stadium will host South Carolina’s first two home football games in 2025.

At 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 6, the Gamecocks will kick off their home opener against South Carolina State, an FCS foe that is in-state. ESPN+ and SECN+ will webcast the match. With a 50-10 victory in 2022, the final time the two teams faced off on the football field, South Carolina has a 3-0 record in their all-time series against the Bulldogs.

On Saturday, September 13, Carolina will play Vanderbilt in their conference opener. Kickoff is scheduled for either 7 or 7:45 p.m. ET. Either the SEC Network or ESPN will broadcast the game. With victories in 30 of the last 34 encounters, including the last 16 straight, the Gamecocks have dominated the all-time series against the Commodores. Last season, South Carolina won 28–7 in Nashville.

The Gamecocks’ season opener against Virginia Tech, which is set for Saturday, August 31 in Atlanta, was previously announced to start off at 3 p.m. ET. ESPN will broadcast that match nationwide.
