Last weekend, the Hungarian was unable to compete against Arsenal because of a recurrence of the hamstring injury that sidelined him for multiple weeks in January.

According to RTK, Szoboszlai returned to Hungary on Monday, with the club’s sanction, to consult with Franz Leberbauer, a specialist from Leipzig, at the Hungarian national team’s headquarters in Telki.Leberbauer, an internationally recognized authority in the domain, has previously collaborated with Szoboszlai, including throughout his most recent protracted injury absence in 2021. Additionally, he has collaborated with Erling Haaland in the past.

We understand, however, that Leberbauer was unable to precisely identify the source of Szoboszlai’s suffering. However, as far as we are aware, estimates that the Hungarian will be injured for three to four weeks are considerably premature at this time. His return is more likely to occur sooner than was previously reported yesterday.

It is now anticipated that Szoboszlai will revisit Liverpool from his native country. Further evaluation will take place at the club’s facilities. It is premature to establish a specific date for his return at this juncture. Preventively, the club will avoid putting him at risk too soon.An injury to Szoboszlai is detrimental to Liverpool.

Given the crucial role the Hungarian has played in the resurgence of Jurgen Klopp’s squad this season, his absence will undoubtedly be a devastating setback.

In his absence, Liverpool labored against Arsenal. After missing the previous few weeks, Szoboszlai had returned in outstanding form. An assist against Norwich and a goal against Chelsea demonstrated precisely what Liverpool had been lacking.

The Reds will now be anticipating his prompt return.
